Aivale Cole

Born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand, Soprano Aivale Cole is currently based in London, United Kingdom.

Cole studied singing in New Zealand and Australia.

Over the years Aivale has performed all around the world.

She won the First Prize of the prestigious Lexus Song Quest 2009 and was also recorded on the soundtrack of the first movie of the LOTR Fellowship of the Rings.

Aivale performed the World Premiere Song Cycle of ‘DAUGHTERS’ libretto by Tammy Brennan and Music by David Chisholm in Sydney, Australia and in Dehli, India and it received rave reviews.   Cole spent one London Summer performing in three productions back to back called ‘The Silk Moth’ by  Bushra El-Turk and ‘Treemonisha’ by Scott Joplin as part of the London Grimeborn Festival.  Then Cole went on to perform in the GAFA Arts Collective production, ‘Rotello’ the Rugby Opera. This production sees three operas rolled into one: Otello (Verdi), Carmen (Bizet) and Tosca (Puccini).  Aivale sang the role of Desdemona from the Otello section and received a great review.  This production was part of the Opera City Festival, London.

Aivale has performed the title roles of Aida in Perth (Western Australia Opera) and Christchurch, New Zealand (Southern Opera).  Aivale also sung the title role of Madame Butterfly in Perth (WAO) and Ariadne (Ariadne Aug Naxos: Strauss).  Other roles she has sung are: Fiordiligi (Ciao Fan Tutte: Mozart), The Female Chorus (Rape of Lucretia: Britten), Contessa Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro: Mozart), Micaëla (Carmen: Bizet), Third Lady and Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte: Mozart) and the Soprano Solos: Verdi Requiem (Sydney, Adelaide and London)

Aivale debuted the role of the Waldvogel produced by the GAFA Arts Collective London RINGafa (Wagners Ring Cycle) version of ‘Siegfried.’ where she received a wonderful review.  Aivale was also honoured to attended HM Queen Elizabeth’s Funeral in 2022 representing New Zealand Arts and Culture.  Aivale is passionate about spreading love and kindness through music in the communities.  Her funny and warm personality is matched with her soaring lyric  spinto soprano voice is fast becoming a household name.
