Melody Compton is a London-based classically trained singer. She graduated from The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where she studied with Marilyn Rees and Lyn Davies.
Melody was a former member of the amateur BBC choir, where she sang solo and choral parts in a production of Brahms’s German Requiem under the baton of Tom Service and Ashley Wass.
In early 2009 Melody took part in the Classical Opera Company course in the production of scenes from Manon Lescaut in the lead role.
In a solo London recital in 2012 at the St Pancras Church, Melody performed works by Rachmaninoff, Wolf, and Strauss.
In 2019 Melody gave a recital for the opening of a new music venue, Wick St Farm in Polegate, East Essex, with works by Gershwin and Puccini.
2020 saw Melody participating in the first Pegasus Opera Company Mentor Programme, studying with Alison Buchanan. This included a master class with Sir Willard White.
Melody appeared in a concert at the Old Court House, Caernarfon October 2021, performing works by Strauss, Rachmaninoff, Gershwin, M. Williams and Roger and Hammerstein.
