Pegasus Opera Company and Brixton Chamber Orchestra are inviting singers from across London to come together once again to create a spectacular community Opera Chorus as part of The Opera Gala!
Here is a video of last year’s concert in Brockwell Park: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXrg2AVUnas
The Opera Gala will have a 55-piece orchestra, incredible Pegasus Opera singers, and a mass chorus of talented amateur singers performing some of the best music in all of opera to a 1000-strong audience.
To sign-up to be a part of the chorus, please complete our google form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdOUJldKFuWCuPS2h9AizvigaxPhKJnT6iFQefcSgN-FR1EMQ/viewform?usp=dialog
As part of the chorus, you will be singing:
- Perche tarda la luna (Turandot)
- Act II Finale (Turandot)
- Nessun Dorma (Turandot)
- The Champagne Song (Fledermaus)
- Bruderlein (Fledermaus)
- Make Our Garden Grow (Candide)
Please note: Due to the limited rehearsal schedule, this project is best suited to singers who are comfortable learning music independently. Sheet music and listening links will be provided in advance, and we ask that everyone spends some time familiarising themselves with the repertoire before the rehearsals! Feel free to use a tablet or print the music and put in a black folder.
