As part of the recent Culture Reset initiative, produced by our good friends at People Make It Work, Artistic Director Alison Buchanan participated in an intensive summer programme of debate, conversation and agitation, alongside other significant voices in the UK culture scene.
Billed as an urgent summer programme for cultural producers, it afforded crucial debate and make space for a much more representative diversity of voices to explore and confront the need to accelerate changes to our cultural landscape – fast.
CULTURE RESET was created as a practical rapid response programme to inspire more relevant and impactful cultural organisations and practices.
Born out of the devastating impact of Covid-19 and inspired by the urgent need to accelerate change and respond to the experiences of a broader diversity of people, the programme provided expert support and dynamic stimulus for 192 arts and cultural producers, makers and directors across the UK over the summer of 2020.
The programme was a people make it work project devised and produced by Claire Doherty and David Micklem and funded by the Gulbenkian Foundation and the people make it work team, led by Pegasus’ friend Richard Watts
