Having been a beacon of diversity and inclusion in the opera world since its founding in 1992, Pegasus Opera Company is renowned for its commitment to promoting artists of Global Majority heritage, and for making opera accessible to wider audiences.
Delivered across the UK, Pegasus worked with Windrush elders to gather testimony and inspire new Windrush anthems to be written by young people. Everyone was invited to share their songs, stories culminating in an interactive exhibition in major cities such as Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool and London. Pegasus Opera Company reached over 5000 people with this project.
