Help Pegasus Opera Company win the Lambeth Civic Awards Arts & Cultural Heritage Award – and give us a 30th birthday gift to remember!
In 2026, Pegasus Opera Company celebrates 30 years in Lambeth, three decades of championing diverse voices, nurturing new talent, and shaping the borough’s cultural life. To mark this milestone, we’d love your support in nominating Pegasus for the Arts and Cultural Heritage Award at the Lambeth Civic Awards 2026.
For over 30 years, Pegasus has been deeply rooted in Lambeth, creating opportunities for people who might never otherwise experience opera or classical music. Through Lift Up Lambeth Voices, our mentoring programme for young singers based in the borough, we support young people taking their very first steps into the opera industry, many experiencing opera for the first time.
We also present regular concerts across Lambeth, including our annual free concert in Lambeth libraries, showcasing outstanding artists who are currently underrepresented in the classical music industry. These performances bring high-quality music into accessible, community-focused spaces and celebrate the rich identities of Lambeth’s communities.
Alongside this, we work closely with Lambeth Music Service, delivering annual singing workshops that culminate in hundreds of Lambeth school children performing on the stage of the Royal Festival Hall each year, an unforgettable experience that inspires confidence, creativity, and ambition.
The Arts and Cultural Heritage Award celebrates organisations that help shape Lambeth’s unique identity. Pegasus does exactly that amplifying unheard voices, inspiring the next generation of artists and cultural leaders, and ensuring Lambeth’s cultural heritage is vibrant, inclusive, and forward-looking.
Please take a moment to nominate Pegasus Opera Company below. Winning this award would be a truly special way to celebrate our 30th birthday — and we couldn’t do it without you.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
