About the
production

Pegasus Opera Company presents the UK Premier of two one-act operas by Philip Hagemann based on Bernard Shaw’s ‘The Music Cure’ & Oscar Wilde’s ‘The Nightingale and the Rose’.

The Music Cure It is 1913 and Lord Reginald is being investigated by Parliament for inside trading. Needless to say, he is distressed. His beloved mother hires a famous and dynamic female concert pianist to cheer him up. This is a tale of satirical wit, love and desire, enhanced by the brilliance of Hagemann’s music.
